Meca’Ayo’s music ranges from folk and jazz to ambient and experimental. Musical experience includes performing and recording with punk-ska band The Mosquitones (Boise, Idaho), jazz fusion group Second Sound (Boulder Colorado), and progressive rock / ambient duo Transmit Regardless (with guitarist Matt Channing in Denver, Colorado. Meca’Ayo has shared stages with many amazing artists including Gordon Gano and Lionel Hampton’s Trio.

Meca’Ayo has served as a board member and social media coordinator for the 501(c)(3) organization Creative Music Works since 2014. Meca’Ayo co-hosts an avant garde open mic gathering in Denver, Colorado called Avant Garden.
